The Best of the Bluegrass festival is an annual Spring celebration here in Lexington, KY and proves to be a big hit with everyone, drawing a crowd downtown to enjoy the fun.

This year’s festival (2010) will be held from Wednesday April 7 to Sunday April 11.

Here’s what to expect:

Belle Brezing Bed Race – teams build decorated bed racers and race them down the street for prizes. There are more than enough laughs and even a few crashes.
Maker’s Mark Pub Crawl – groups move from a set list of pubs at their own speed, but you can nearly always recognize other pub crawlers. There are T-shirts and its a great opportunity to meet new people!
Concert – the band has yet to be announced
Chili in Cheapside Park – try all the chili you can eat and enjoy some of the unique and spicy twists on the dish during this competition. Live music.
