WEG Lexington Kentucky

WEG Kentucky – or the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2010 – are just around the corner.  Anyone visiting Lexington can feel the buzz in the air, see the road and sidewalk improvements, and all the other preparations that are in full-swing around the city for this exciting event.

This is the first time that the WEG have ever been held in the US; the fact that the Kentucky Horse Park was chosen as the venue is an amazing honor and opportunity for the city of Lexington!

WEG Kentucky Details

The World Equestrian Games will kick off on September 25 with an opening ceremony and the reining event.  An international crowd nearly the size of Lexington’s population, hundreds of vendors and booths, and entertainment all day/night will make the historical WEG Kentucky a must-see if you are in the region.

Schedule

WEG Kentucky will run from September 25 to October 10. Different equine disciplines are scheduled across the 15-day period; check the official schedule on the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games website for detailed information.

WEG Kentucky Ticket Prices

A general admission ticket to the grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park will cost $25 per day.  This ticket allows you to wander around, watch demonstrations, shop, and socialize.

The Grounds Pass does not get you into the stadiums to watch the competition.  Tickets to watch each event vary between disciplines and days.

Tickets aren’t particularly cheap, so plan which days and which disciplines you want to watch ahead of time!
